The rollout for Róisín Murphy's much-anticipated (by me, anyway) Hit Parade continues today with "You Knew," which finds Murphy tilting back toward the throbbing dance music of Róisín Machine.
In a statement, Murphy described the fourth single from her upcoming record as "the story of my life."
"I'm an open book, I put myself on the line and I make my motivations obvious," she continued. "Many times, I have bravely loved and not been loved in return, and I am proud of that. That phase 'You Knew' just sums it all up, in fact you could put it on my headstone, except I've already decided it'll say...
You Had Your Chance!"
"You Knew" comes with two remixes by Eli Escobar and PAYFONE. "You Knew" follows "CooCool," "The Universe" and "Fader." Hit Parade arrives September 8.
