Protest the Hero Announce Canadian Tour with A Wilhelm Scream

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 1, 2016

Prog-tinged metal makers Protest the Hero have announced they're going to cap the year with a Canadian tour. The long-running act will take their Pacific Myth tunes and more out in December.

The Ontario-made act announced their travel plans today (September 1) through their socials, confirming that a 10-show tour kicks off on the West Coast. The first concert is at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre on December 8. The trip then heads eastwards through Western Canada, the Prairies and Ontario, ahead of a finale at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on December 18.

The trip will find Protest the Hero playing alongside U.S. metalcore crew A Wilhelm Scream, Waterloo's Auras and Japanese outfit Cyclamen. The tour closer in Toronto is going to up the ante by adding sets from pop-punks the Flatliners, post-hardcore band Sparrows, and Silverstein member Shane Told's River Oaks project.

You'll find the full breakdown of the tour down below.

As previously reported, Protest the Hero launched a subscription-based singles program last fall, which culminated in the March release of Pacific Myth. You'll find an interview of the band explaining the project to Exclaim! down below.
