After a mysterious reveal, members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill confirmed that they had formed a new supergroup by the name of Prophets of Rage. They made their live debut with a show in Los Angeles last week and a post-Governors Ball cancellation gig in New York this weekend, but now they're hitting the road for a full North American run.
The tour will be prefaced with a July 19 show in Cleveland — conveniently during the Republican National Convention — before things really get underway in Fairfax, VA, on August 19. Shortly thereafter, Prophets of Rage will come north of the border for a Toronto show on August 24 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. It currently marks the only Canadian stop on the group's itinerary. The full string of shows will wrap up in Chula Vista, CA, on October 16.
The band's lineup consists of Rage members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, Public Enemy's Chuck D and DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill's B-Real.
