"Beautiful Blue Sky" was one of the longer tracks on Ought's 2015 record Sun Coming Down. Now, the Montreal-based band have treated the album cut to a new video.
Directed by Bobby McHugh, the video looked to pair a surreal storyline with his own interpretation of the band's lyrical work in the song.
"Clarity, balance and happiness can be the direct result of movement and breath, while our obsession with development, consumerism and frustration with the banalities of our everyday experience can cause feelings of nihilism and depression that at their extreme can render us immobile and constrained," he explained in a press release. "In this video I tried to weave together two dreamy, surreal storylines that reflect these two competing states of being."
Ought begin a headlining tour through North America tonight (May 4), and you can find the dates, along with the video for "Beautiful Blue Sky," below.
