Neil Young Announces 'The Times' EP

The new release will feature his Donald Trump diss track "Lookin' for a Leader 2020"

As if we didn't already have enough incoming Neil Young content, he's now announced a brand new EP. It's called The Times, and it will serve as the proper home for his recent Donald Trump diss track "Lookin' for a Leader 2020."

While few details about The Times have been revealed so far, Young slyly broke the news about the incoming EP in the YouTube description for the newly shared official video version for "Lookin' for a Leader 2020."

He (a bit clumsily) wrote, "I invite the President to play this song at his next rally. A song about the feelings many of us have about America today, it's part of the The Times, and EP coming soon from Reprise Records — my home since 1968."

The video for "Lookin' for a Leader 2020" was pulled from the "Fireside Sessions" that Young recorded in July. During that same performance, he also covered Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are a-Changin'" — no doubt a track that plays into the new EP in some way.

News of The Times EP comes in the wake of multiple archival release plans. Last week, Young announced Way Down in the Rust Bucket, Return to Greendale and Neil Young Archives Vol. 2, as well as The Timeless Orpheum film.

As recently reported, Young is launching a legal war against Donald Trump, as well as paying a bunch of money to "disengage" with Facebook and Google.
