Mobina Galore

"Suffer" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 21, 2017

Winnipeg punk duo Mobina Galore delivered their latest album Feeling Disconnected last month, and now a new album track has been treated to a new video.

"Suffer" is a heavy-hitting cut that exemplifies the album's themes of detachment — albeit a result of being away from family and friends when living life on the road or the isolation of being an all-female band in a male-dominated industry.

"I was in a place in my life where I was going through the motions of what is 'expected' of someone in their late 20s, but I felt no connection to what I was doing," the band's Jenna Priestner tells Exclaim! "I constantly felt like I was watching myself from the outside questioning the decision I had made, but knew at the end of the day it was something I was going to follow through with."

The accompanying clip features performance shots of the band, as well as side stories that mimic the song's lyrics and depict the pressures of relationships, jobs and one's own insecurities.
