Calgary's BIG Winter Classic Gets Fucked Up, Status/Non-Status, Joyce Manor for 2023 Edition

Holy Fuck, Zoon, Jasmyn, A. Savage, the Garrys, Nick Thune, Mauvey, Mattmac, Motherhood and Surf Dads will also perform

In partnership with the City of Calgary's Chinook Blast winter festival celebration, the BIG Winter Classic returns to The BLOX (Beltline BIA) next year for four days of diverse art and culture programming, including performances from over 90 bands.

From January 25 to 29, the likes of Holy Fuck, Status/Non-StatusFucked Up, Zoon, Jasmyn, A. Savage, the Garrys, Nick Thune, Mauvey, Mattmac, Motherhood, Surf Dads, Slow Down Molasses, Crystal Eyes, Mobina Galore, Ellen Froese and many more — including 50-plus Alberta acts — will be hosted across numerous Beltline businesses: Last Best Brewing, National on 10th, GOAT, Big Studio and Residence Inn by Marriott.

The BIG Winter Classic will also include multiple art installations, featuring an A.I. art show and a panel on the intersection of artificial intelligence and artistic practice. Founded in 2014, the event has been bringing the arts to Calgary's downtown core since its first show at Broken City and Last Best Brewing. BIG works in collaboration with local businesses to create dynamic YYC festival experiences.

Tickets are on sale now via Showpass, available in weekend and single-day passes. Single-venue tickets, which guarantee entry to specific venues on specific nights of the fest, will be released in the coming weeks.
