In a year that has already seen them deliver Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe and Sketches of Brunswick East, Aussie psych rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have now unleashed their fourth release of the year titled Polygondwanaland, and you can hear the whole thing right here.
The album arrives today (November 17) through the band themselves, who have encouraged fans to "make tapes, make CD's, make records," of the release. The group have shared the digital masters, CD masters, vinyl masters and artwork for all three editions through their website.
"Ever wanted to start your own record label? GO for it!," the band wrote in a statement. "Employ your mates, press wax, pack boxes. We do not own this record. You do. Go forth, share, enjoy."
For listeners who are loyal to the cassette format, the band readily admit that they "don't really know what you would do. Be creative. We did it once but it sounded really shit. Maybe try the WAVs idano."
