Melbourne punks Amyl and the Sniffers were scheduled to play Toronto's History tonight (May 12) as part of their North American tour with Sheer Mag behind Cartoon Darkness. Unfortunately, the show has now been cancelled, as frontwoman Amy Taylor has fallen ill.

The band announced the news late yesterday (May 11) on their Instagram Story, writing, "We are so so sorry to announce that we have to cancel tomorrow night's show at History in Toronto. Amy has fallen ill and cannot perform tomorrow. She did not make this decision lightly, so we hope you understand that she needs time to recover."

The statement continues, "We are going to try and come back as soon as possible, but in the meantime your tickets will automatically be refunded by Ticketmaster. The promoter/venue will email with more details. We love playing in Canada so much, and are deeply sorry this has fallen on our time here. We hope you can understand. We love you!"

As of this writing, Amyl and the Sniffers are expected to return to the stage tomorrow (May 13) in Cleveland, OH.
