Vancouver's Kimmortal is back with a new track to follow their recent single "I Can't Trust You." The MC's latest, "This Dyke," arrives with its own claymation video by Filipino-Canadian visual artist NOFAC3.
"I wanted to create a sexy banger for the dykes, for femmes, for my queer community," Kimmortal said of the self-produced song, "and ultimately for me because I have never fully leaned into expressing my queer sexuality in a track and my journey of getting here is what I am most proud of."
With mentorship from s.M.i.L.e founding member x/o, the MC draws inspiration from SOPHIE, Peaches, Tommy Genesis, Vials and Rina Sawayama on the track, recording it at Helm Studios, an accessible, equitable and community-focused facility in Vancouver.

Earlier this year, Kimmortal earned a shout-out from US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for their track "Sad Femme Club," after which they released 2022 single "K I'm Mortal."
