After Vancouver MC Kimmortal's online shout-out from US Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez last week, the artist is back with a new track to tease an upcoming new project.
Today, they deliver "K I'm Mortal," which acts, to some degree, as a reintroduction. Kimmortal explained in a release: "Seeing AOC mouth along to the lyrics of my track 'Sad Femme Club' reminded me that there are amazing people out there who are feeling and listening to what I have to say."
They continued: "So I'm excited to share 'K I'm Mortal,' probably the most honest track I've ever written. This song is about the anxiety I have around being perceived, my battles with perfectionism, and my fear of intimacy. It's a reminder that yes you will fuck up, but you can grow compassion for yourself and love again."
