The victory lap continues for Kendrick Lamar, who has just been named the halftime performer for Super Bowl LIX in 2025.
In a statement, Lamar said, "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."
The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. Watch a teaser from Lamar below.
This will be Lamar's second time performing at halftime at the Super Bowl; in 2022, he took part in a group hip-hop performance led by Dr. Dre.
pgLang, Lamar's company with Dave Free, will oversee creative direction of the show. Drake, presumably, will not be watching.
