Haitian-Canadian producer extraordinaire Kaytranada teamed up with acclaimed American R&B musician H.E.R. to bring "Intimidated" — the title track from the former's 2021 EP — to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The pair performed together on late-night TV yesterday (January 18), exuding abundant amounts of swagger as they played the handclap-driven lead cut from Kaytranada's latest collection Intimidated — an effortlessly smooth mid-tempo jam which practically demanded H.E.R.'s decision to rock some retro clout goggles. Matching her purple eyeshadow to Kay's beanie (er, toque?) was also a subtly harmonious touch.
Fashion aside, the California-hailing multi-instrumentalist flexed her chops both vocally and at the piano, naturally translating the magic that coalesced on her debut Back of My Mind in a live setting.
A dynamic duo indeed.
