Kamasi Washington has returned with a new song. "Sun Kissed Child" arrives as part of new EP Liberated in The Undefeated's Music for the Movement series and can be heard below.
"Sun Kissed Child" finds Washington working with frequent collaborators Dwight Trible, Patrice Quinn and Ronald Bruner Jr.
The Liberated EP, the third of four volumes in the series, also features songs by Cordae and Common, Lucky Daye, Chlöe Bailey and more.
Last year, Washington joined Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper and 9th Wonder in supergroup Dinner Party, and scored Michelle Obama documentary Becoming. The sax man's most recent album remains Heaven and Earth.
