Whilst touring Canada in support of their Juno-winning album Pray for It, July Talk have returned with a tasty new slice of music pie in the form of a single titled "I Am Water," which was co-written with Kevin Drew and Dani Nash.
Teased in the band's newsletter on Tuesday (November 9), the band shared the following of the track:
We are over the moon to share a new song with you tonight at midnight! It's called "I Am Water" and we wrote it with our dear friends Kevin Drew and Dani Nash in our jam space over the summer. Don't know about you, but we have so much pent-up energy from staying inside over the pandemic and we just wanna DANCE + LET IT OUT!
We hope that it brings you all sorts of joy, and that you can blast it in your kitchen and let loose. We cannot wait to play it live on stage for you in a few short weeks!
The song arrives with its own Cosette Schulz-directed video. The band previously teamed up with Schulz on their 2020 video for "Governess Shadow." Watch their latest collaboration below.
July Talk have been teasing plans for "lots more to come" and posturing about what their new record might be like on Twitter for weeks now — so stay tuned for new material on the horizon.
