Jamila Woods has announced the follow-up to 2016's HEAVN. She'll release a new album called Legacy! Legacy! on May 10 via Jagjaguwar.
The new album hears the Chicago artist paying homage to legendary black icons of literature, music and art, and it features collaborations with Nitty Scott, Saba, theMIND, Jasminfire and Nico Segal.
Amongst those honoured with songs titles are Eartha Kitt ("EARTHA"), Miles Davis ("MILES") and Jean-Michel Basquiat ("BASQUIAT").
The first single to arrive, though, toasts to 20th century African-American author Zora Neale Hurtson.
