Jack White has once again paid tribute to the late Loretta Lynn, this time by performing a cover of her song "Van Lear Rose."
White, who produced Lynn's 2004 album Van Lear Rose, played the title track from that LP. Accompanied by backing players on drums, pedal steel and bass, White gave Lynn's Kentucky love story a faithful run-through for CMT's tribute special A Celebration of the Life and Music of Loretta Lynn.
White has covered "Coal Miner's Daughter" before, once performing the song in the vinyl pressing booth at Third Man Records.
Loretta Lynn died earlier this month at the age of 90. At that time, White said she was "like a mother to me."
