After some teasing, The xx's Romy Madley Croft has revealed her first solo single. Going as simply Romy, her "Lifetime" can be heard now.
The song arrives via a lyric video, and as a press release explains, it was written and recorded in London during lockdown. "Lifetime" is described as "a song about the dream of being reunited with friends, family and the ones we love, capturing the euphoria of being together again."
Below, hear "Lifetime" for yourself. The track arrives via Young Turks.
There's no mention in the PR about a Romy solo album, but earlier this year, news broke that all three members of The xx were working on new solo records.
The xx's most recent studio release remains 2017's I See You.
