Having shared the tracklist for his long-lost 1975 album Homegrown last week, Neil Young has now given us a previously unreleased song from the LP that includes some serious star power.
Through his Neil Young Archives website, the Canadian icon has shared "Try," which features drums from the Band's legendary beatkeeper Levon Helm and backing vocals from storied American songwriter Emmylou Harris.
Recorded at Quadrafonic Sound Studios in December of 1974, "Try" also features late Young mainstays Ben Keith and Tim Drummond. You can hear "Try" through Young's website or below.
Homegrown arrives June 19 through Warner and features 12 tracks that Young recorded in his prolific mid-'70s period.
As previously reported, Young's slate of forthcoming archival projects also includes '80s album Road of Plenty. Lately, he's been keeping listeners occupied with a series of "Fireside Sessions."
