This year marks four decades since Fred Penner launched his career with debut album The Cat Came Back, and the beloved Canadian children's performer has now announced plans to mark the occasion with a lengthy anniversary tour.
Next year, Penner will play 21 dates in towns and cities across Central and Western Canada. He'll kick things off in Regina on February 15, with a date at Knox-Metropolitan United Church.
From there, he'll find his way east as far as Ontario before heading back westward, closing out the tour with a date at North Vancouver's Centennial Theatre on April 5.
You can find Penner's entire itinerary below. Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday (November 8) at 10 a.m. local time.
Released in 1979, The Cat Came Back featured Penner's titular take on the 1893 song alongside staples "Sandwiches" and "John Russell Watkins." He last released his Hear the Music album in 2017, which featured Ron Sexsmith, Alex Cuba, Basia Bulat and more.
