Deafheaven are back! The blackgaze experimentalists have announced the follow-up to 2021's Infinite Granite. Lonely People with Power (cover art seen above) arrives March 28 via Roadrunner Records.
Recorded with Justin Meldal-Johnsen and mixed by Zach Weeks at GodCity Studio, with additional contributions from Jae Matthews of Boy Harsher and Paul Banks of Interpol, the album is said to "confound expectations, piling element on element, and towering towards the sky with their most ambitious release yet," as per a release.
The band have previewed the effort with the release of its lead single "Magnolia," which arrives alongside a music video co-directed by Sean Stout and Chelsea Jade. Watch that below, where you can also find the album's tracklist.
Deafheaven have a few festival appearances lined up for the coming months, though none in Canada as of yet. Headlining tour dates will be announced soon.
