Coldplay to Headline 2016 Super Bowl

The Super Bowl has found the headliner for its 2016 halftime show. Following this year's performance from Katy Perry, the next halftime show will be led by British arena pop stars Coldplay.

According to the Wall Street Journal's sources, Coldplay will headline, while Beyoncé is "in talks to make a guest appearance." This would make sense, given that Beyoncé is a guest on Coldplay's new album A Head Full of Dreams, which comes out tomorrow (December 4).

This is the NFL's 50th Super Bowl and it will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. The Wall Street Journal speculates that Coldplay would release the tickets for a 2016 North American tour soon after the performance.

Meanwhile, A Head Full of Dreams reportedly won't be available on Spotify when it first comes out. It will, however, be available on streaming services that don't have a free tier (such as Apple Music).

Below, hear Coldplay's song with Beyoncé, "Hymn for the Weekend."
