Back in 2005, Alexisonfire frontman Dallas Green set to work on his debut solo album Sometimes under the name City and Colour. Fifteen years later, Green is celebrating the anniversary of his debut LP with a special performance of the record in its entirety in Toronto.
This summer, the singer-songwriter will bring Sometimes to Toronto's Budweiser Stage for a special one-time performance, playing through all 10 tracks of the record for his 10th appearance at the venue. The show takes place on August 7.
Feeling a little sentimental about the album, Green posted the following statement on Twitter alongside his concert announcement:
It's hard to believe 15 yrs have passed since I released Sometimes. Back then, it was a collection of "other" songs I was working on. Thanks to everyone who listened. You gave me a place to go & sing long slow songs about my feelings. This record became yours a long time ago.
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. local time this Friday (March 13).
According to a press release, fans are also being encouraged to "stay tuned to City and Colour's website and social media outlets for announcements of exclusive Sometimes 15th Anniversary related merchandise and initiatives."
