Chimaira

I'm still not fully on board for Chimaira's tunes, but I'm getting there and this excellent DVD is helping. The bulk of it is a feature-length documentary showing the band going through the recording of their most recent album, as well as filming videos, touring and most touchingly, going through line-up changes. It's impressive how well done this is, with lots of awe-inspiring non-band related shots of Cleveland helping up the dramatic ante a bit. The scary drummer punching boxes and cursing in Swedish helps too. It also includes live footage, videos and more, making this a great DVD for fans and a fun starting point for those interested in the band's modern hardcore/metal/near-nu hybrid sound.
