Following the release of Avril Lavigne's "Bite Me," her debut for Travis Barker's DTA Records, the Canadian pop-punk princess has announced plans to take her new material on the road with a nation-spanning tour — her first headlining trek in her home country in 10 years.

Kicking off in May 2022, Lavigne will hit 15 Canadian cities beginning on the East Coast with a performance at Moncton's Avenir Centre. Along the way, she'll make stops in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Vancouver and plenty of cities in between.

The month-long Bite Me Tour will see support from grandson and Mod Sun.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 3, with several pre-sales lined up throughout next week, beginning as early as Monday, November 29.

"I'm so excited to come home and rock out with you Canada! I can't wait to see you in person this Spring!" Lavigne shared in a release, which also notes that the artist is expected to release a new album in 2022.

In addition to new music on the way next year, Lavigne will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of her breakthrough album Let Go.
