Avril Lavigne Signs to Travis Barker's DTA Records, Teases New Single

A match made in pop-punk heaven: Napanee's own Avril Lavigne says "I'm with You" to Kourtney Kardashian's fiancé and label-head Travis Barker.Lavigne announced her signing to Barker's label, DTA Records in an Instagram post today — complete with a cake-faced carousel gallery of photos to commemorate the occasion.
"Let's fuck shit up! Just signed a record contract to Travis Barker's record label DTA Records," the Motherfucking Princess wrote in the caption.
She added cheekily: "Should I drop my first single next week ?"
Well, who would we be to say no? Lavigne's last release remains 2019's Head Above Water.
Blink-182 drummer Barker is seemingly channelling his inner mogul and trying to build a pop-punk empire, so it's no surprise that he and the Canadian queen of the genre are joining forces. They've linked up previously when Lavigne featured on WILLOW's lately i feel EVERYTHING track "G R O W" and were in the studio together — alongside Machine Gun Kelly — as long ago as last December.
