'After the Head Rush' is out June 24 via Paper Bag Records

Victoria-based glam rocker Art d'Ecco has announced a new album, After the Head Rush, due out June 24 via Paper Bag Records. Coinciding with the announcement, he has released a video for new single "Only Ones."

In the vein of the previous single "Palm Slave," the track suggests a modern update of '70s glam and art rock, mixing roiling rhythms and shimmering keyboards with manipulated saxophone, dramatic power chords and fuzzed-out guitar leads. It's the kind of stomping sing-along that would make Marc Bolan proud.

Speaking about the self-produced album, d'Ecco said in a statement: "Maximalism! I wanted to produce a big, bright, sparkly album. Along the lines of something you hear in a Tears For Fears or Peter Gabriel record, or something Bob Clearmountain would have mixed in the '80s."
