The Mercury Prize, the annual celebration of the year's best British album, has named Collapsed in Sunbeams by Arlo Parks as this year's winner.
Parks beats out a field that included Black Country, New Road; Celeste; Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra; Laura Mvula; Mogwai; SAULT; Wolf Alice; BERWYN MUSIC; Ghetts; Hannah Peel; and Nubya Garcia.
Parks was announced the winner during a gala event at London, UK's Eventim Apollo. The judges panel included Anna Calvi, Annie Mac, Jamie Cullum, Michael Kiwanuka and more.
Parks receives a trophy and a cash prize of £25,000.
