Arkells are touring in support of their new album, Blink Once. Their 2022 tour will take the band throughout North America and briefly into Europe, including 10 dates here in Canada.
UPDATE (1/14, 5:16 p.m. ET): Like many Canadian events, the Blink Once tour has had multiple dates postponed due to Omicron variant concerns. See an up-to-date schedule at the band's website.
Nine of the Canadian dates will take place in February, as Arkells will play arenas in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and a number of Ontario cities. A few months after that, on June 25, they will hold one of their hometown Rally concerts at Tim Horton's Field in Hamilton, ON (following Rally cancellations the past two years).
See the schedule below. A ticket pre-sale begins on Tuesday (October 5) at 10 a.m. Tickets will then go on sale to the public on Thursday (October 7) at 10 a.m. via Live Nation and Ticketmaster. An announcement calls this "round one" of their Blink Twice tour, so more dates will presumably follow. Vaccinations will be required for all attendees.
Frontman Max Kerman said in a statement, "We snuck in a few shows this summer and it was an amazing feeling. Our live show is a craft we've developed over the years from touring. The way each show builds on the last is how we evolve and grow. We've missed it so much as it's a huge part of our identity as a band. The chance to bring concerts back to Canada with music lovers across the country is something we won't take for granted."
