Now that we're finally within countdown range of the fifth Scream movie's release date — it's 88 days away, for the record — the marketing team is pulling all the stops for the horror flick's promotional cycle. Last month, we got word of the Scream house's official Airbnb listing (hosted by Dewey Riley himself), and now, TikTok is getting in on the fun by introducing a special new text-to-speech feature.

Anyone who uses the app is either thankful for or painfully familiar with TikTok's robot narration feature, and love it or hate it, the text-to-speech narration catalogue has just grown by one more voice. The app has enlisted original Ghostface voice actor, Roger Jackson, for the feature, meaning you can now get super creepy with your spooky season TikToks.

The film's official Twitter account has helpfully released a demo on how to use the feature — though it's pretty simple: once you've filmed your video, you can add a text overlay. You can then tap on the text and have it read back to you in several voices, which now includes Jackson's for extra creepy effects.

Ahead of Scream's theatrical release on January 14, try out the TikTok feature and watch a demo of the text-to-speech feature below.

Last week, we got our first peek at the Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett-directed sequel with the film's first trailer.

As previously reported, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette will reprise their legendary roles, acting alongside a new cast that includes Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Sonia Ammar.
