Just mere days after premiering on the DC Universe streaming platform, Swamp Thing has already been cancelled.
Swamp Thing premiered on May 31, turning the comic book characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson into a live-action TV show. But despite James Wan's Atomic Monster and Warner Bros. Television both being on board, the show has officially been cancelled, Deadline confirms.
The cancellation isn't a total surprise. After all, the show was already shrunk down from 13 episodes to 10. Plus, there's been some big leadership shakeups at WarnerMedia, with many industry insiders have some serious doubts about the future of the DC Universe streaming service in general.
Still for a show to get cancelled only one episode into its very first season is a new kind of low.
