After snatching the title for best film of all time from Orson Welles' Citizen Kane just last month, Paul King's Paddington 2 has officially been toppled from the top spot on Rotten Tomatoes after an unfavourable review of the Peruvian bear's 2017 movie recently surfaced online.

The latest criticism of the animated feel-good flick comes from Film Authority critic Eddie Harrison. Harrison's 2/5 review of the film rails against the previously universally loved animated bear, stating that "this is not my Paddington Bear, but a sinister, malevolent imposter who should be shot into space, or nuked from space at the first opportunity."

Thanks to Harrison's scathing review, the film has dropped from its 100 percent rating to a measly 99 percent on RT.

With Paddington and Kane knocked from their respective periods as the best film title-holders, Toy Story 2 has now taken the top spot with a 100-percent rating from the aggregator's 169 reviews.

Welles' 1941 classic was previously toppled after an 80-year-old Chicago Tribune review titled "Citizen Kane Fails to Impress Critic as Greatest Ever Filmed" was unearthed.

Meanwhile, Paddington himself appears to be unscathed by the news:
