KISS are about to get the biopic treatment from director Joachim Rønning on Netflix, but first they'll get a long, sprawling documentary.

The long-running rockers have a lot of story to get through, so it makes sense that their upcoming A&E documentary will be four hours long and spread out across two nights.

The documentary is called Biography: KISStory and was created with the full cooperation of both Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. In addition to members of the band, the film includes appearances from musicians like Tom Morello and doc mainstay Dave Grohl.

"Through the Biography lens we are able to give fans a backstage pass to a two-night event that honours the legacy of the rock icons behind KISS," A&E's Elaine Frontain Bryant said in a press release. "This documentary event is a special tribute to a one-of-a-kind band and the incredible Kiss Army fanbase that has idolized them for generations."

Biography: KISStory will air on June 27 and 28. You can read Paul Stanley's tweet about the show below.
