Comedic forces of nature Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are set to take Netflix by storm with a new comedy series featuring a charming pair of viral pranksters.

The duo behind Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! will deliver Chad and JT Go Deep to the streamer on August 23, tapping online prank extraordinaires Chad Kroeger (not to be confused with the Nickelback frontman) and JT Parr for the pair's first television venture.

Known for topical antics like handing out masks on Huntington Beach at the apex of the pandemic and crashing a city council meeting, the series will see Chad and JT impart their "stoke lord" wisdom to Southern California through on-the-street activism. Their causes include protecting America's skateboarders, allowing anal tanning in public and more. Viva la revolution!

When their well-meaning antics go awry, the duo find themselves shunned by the very community they hoped to inspire, and they try to turn the stakes back in their favour.

"We are so stoked to be bringing the stoke to a global audience and so grateful to the stoke lords, Netflix and Abso Lutely, for helping us boost the stoke," said Kroeger and Parr [via Deadline].

Chad and JT Go Deep will be produced by Heidecker and Wareheim's Abso Lutely Productions, which is also behind Comedy Central's Nathan for You.
