You Say Party

"Ignorance" (video)

Back in 2011, You Say Party announced that the band would be going on an indefinite hiatus. The news followed the shocking death of drummer Devon Cliffford and the release of their breakout album XXXX, but in the years since, the group have reunited for live shows, shared an OMD cover tune and celebrated their 10th anniversary last year by dusting off some old rarities for an EP titled Decennium.

Now, the band have made a triumphant return, unveiling some brand new original content in the form of a track called "Ignorance." The new tune arrives via Paper Bag Records and hears the band taking their sound in a "more expansive and experimental" direction, paying homage to their past and devoted fans, but also looking forward to the journey ahead.

The song arrives with an accompanying video, which was directed by Jeff Scheven. It features a young woman visiting a psychic reader, then dragging a suitcase across some of the more desolate areas of town — pausing to show off her contortionist skills along the way.

Watch her twist and turn her way across the cityscape in the video for "Ignorance" below.
