Sophie Thatcher is an actor on Yellowjackets who has also appeared in The Book of Boba Fett and this year's Heretic — and now she's crossing over into music, with an EP dropping this week.
Pivot & Scrape will come out on Friday (October 11) via Bathsheba. Judging by the two singles released so far, Thatcher is a vibey piano balladeer, as "Black and Blue" and "Pivot & Scrape" take fairly classic-sounding melodies and drench them in swirling ambience.
The five-song EP was recorded at Drop of Sun Studios with Adam McDaniel (and engineer and producer whose credits include Angel Olsen, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Wednesday and Indigo De Souza).
