In the midst of her North American tour behind new album Special — and before she decides to finally move to Canada — Lizzo is testing the waters of Vancouver, BC, with its ambassador of all things music, Nardwuar.
As with all Serviette-led interviews, within seconds of the pair's conversation, Lizzo is gifted with a flautist fuzz pedal, a copy of Jimmy Z and Dr. Dre's "Funky Flute" on vinyl, Queen Latifa's 1990 album Come into My House and 1991's Nature of a Sista', Crime Mob's Knuck If You Buck, Cardi B's cheddar-BBQ Rap Snacks and more.
Nardwuar goes on to grill Lizzo about her life's deep cuts, from Tracy — who helped Lizzo get to Minneapolis while the pair were working together at Cirque du Soleil as photographers in Denver — to the Red Stag Block Party where she met her best friend Sophia.
Sophia even gets her own segment of the interview, in which Nardwuar gifts her with an original 1996 Space Jam pin, before going on to get the requisite "how do you know about that?" when probed about something called "pizza time."
Watch the interview — with an extra special doot-doo — below.
