A cover song video series from metal talk show Two Minutes to Late Night has brought some of heavy music's biggest stars together this year to cover Rush, Fleetwood Mac, Alice in Chains and more. Now, a new supergroup has formed to bring us a suitably spooky cover of Ozzy Osbourne's "Over the Mountain."
Covering Osbourne's Diary of a Madman opener are Mastodon's Brann Dailor, Darkest Hour's Mike Schleibaum, Kvelertak's Marvin Nygaard, Baroness' Seb Thomson and host Jordan "Gwarsenio Hall" Olds, who open with a tease of that album's title track set to shots of a fully-stocked Spirit Halloween.
Towards the end, Dailor goes full Ozzy in biting the head off one of the Prince of Darkness' officially licensed stuffed bats. You can take in the "Over the Mountain" cover below.
Osbourne was the subject of an A&E Biography documentary last month. A biopic on the Black Sabbath frontman is also in the works.
