ML Buch made one of our favourite albums of last year with the jaw-dropping Suntub — probably the best guitar album of the decade, argue with your mother — and the Danish songwriter, producer and composer has been on something of a victory lap in the album's wake, picking up year-end list placements and heading out on a very well-received tour, making a ton of new Buchworms in the process (let's try and get this fan name off the ground, please and thanks).
Buch's June show in Toronto was absolutely mesmerizing, and now you can get a taste of her live show with her new KEXP performance, which dropped today. On the show, Buch performs "Fleshless hand," "High speed calm air tonight," "Well bucket" and "Working it out."
Buch's guitar playing — and her synthetic guitar wizardry — remains cool and singular as hell, and she's joined by fellow Dane and touring partner Rebecca Molina. At the end of the performance, Buch chats with Alex Ruder about her DIY recording process and the ethos beyond her music.
