Rising folk singer-songwriter Elissa Mielke has today lifted two new singles off of her upcoming EP, Mouse, out August 26 via slashie / Mom + Pop.
Both tracks, "Body Knows" and "Get Well," follow the release of her 2021 EP Finally and previously debuted 2022 single "Paper Moth Flame." With the delicate, heartfelt odes to the human body, the Los Angeles-via-Toronto musician explores the imprint that heartache makes on the soul and how it can begin to heal.
With emotion-soaked lyricism inspired by the likes of Lucinda Williams, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco and Carole King, Mielke creates harmonious textures through dreamy layered vocals.
