Ahead of the release of her debut solo offering Surfacing in April, TOPS' Jane Penny has scheduled a handful of North American tour dates — including gigs in Toronto and her hometown of Montreal — shared alongside new single "Wear You Out."
The singer-songwriter will kick off her brief stint on the road beginning May 29 at the Baby G in Toronto. From there, she'll play New York (June 1), Montreal (June 6) and Los Angeles (June 13). Tickets are on sale now.
Of the floating synthpop jam "Wear You Out," Penny said, “I wanted to make something poppy and cute but also a bit sinister and weird, sensual and witty. Lots of wordplay, a bit dirty, I think the video represents the song well. Sometimes the greatest passion and the most intense love is slightly destructive and I wanted to explore that in a fun way.”
