Syd has returned with her second single of 2021. "Fast Car" follows the Internet vocalist's "Missing Out," and can be heard below alongside a video from directors Ethan Nelson and Graham Epstein.
"I wanted to make something for the gay Black girls," Syd shared of her latest in a statement. "I want them to see themselves in this and in me."
Syd's most recent album remains 2017's Fin, which was followed by EP Always Never Home later that year.
Syd recently appeared on Charlotte Day Wilson's album Alpha, teaming up with the Canadian on "Take Care of You." Last year, she joined Disclosure on their full-length ENERGY.
