Syd has returned with her lush, sparkling sophomore full-length, Broken Hearts Club, the follow-up to 2017's Fin.
Broken Hearts Club, which arrives today via Columbia, sees Syd linking up with Kehlani, Lucky Daye and Smino for another immaculately produced collection of svelte jams and funk workouts.
The 13-track album was preceded by singles "Fast Car," "Missing out," "Right Track" and "CYBAH," each revealing a different facet of the record's elastic, deeply saturated vision of R&B and pop. Broken Hearts Club was performed, co-written, and co-produced by Syd with additional production contributions from Troy Taylor, G Koop and Darkchild
In a statement about the record released alongside its announcement, Syd said Broken Hearts Club is "about a relationship I had that ended in my first real broken heart. It almost felt like I joined a club because all of my friends went through similar experiences. It was like a rite of passage."
