After recently revealing that they were all set to deliver their first new album in close to a decade, New York death metal ghouls Skinless have blitzed out the first menacing preview from their forthcoming Only the Ruthless Remain. Get ready to be swallowed up by the sounds of the band's "Serpenticide."
Following a sinisterly hissed spoken word intro, the group jump into a vicious arrangement of rapid-fire blasts, chunky detuned mosh riffs and venom-dripping growls. Multi-chambered, the track sheds tempos like a cobra does its skin, moving from creepy-crawl beats and twinned guitar harmonies towards unhinged thrash passages replete with topsy-turvy guitar solos.
