Shabazz Palaces Getting Their Own 'Live at Third Man' Album

Third Man Records only just announced an archival White Stripes concert package, but already Jack White's label has lined up another exciting-looking live album. This one comes from Seattle rap experimenters Shabazz Palaces, who will be getting their very own Live at Third Man record.

This will be the latest instalment in the label's string of direct-to-acetate live records. Shabazz Palaces will perform at Third Man's Nashville facility on January 17, and fans who attend will be able to pre-order the live album on limited edition blue-and-black split-colour vinyl.

Although Third Man hasn't announced whether the album will get a wide release, past instalments of the Live at Third Man series lead us to believe that the split-colour vinyl will be exclusive to attendees of the show, while a standard black version will be available for everyone else.

An announcement describes Shabazz Palaces' latest album Lese Majesty as "Easily the most oft-spun record on the Third Man office turntable in the second half of 2014."

If you happen to be in Nashville this month, tickets for the show are available here.

Jack White seems be on a bit of a hip-hop kick as of late. He just announced that Run the Jewels will open his New York show at Madison Square Garden on January 30.
