Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has shared two new songs, marking his first solo material in over two decades.
"Kabul Blues" and "Spy House" arrive alongside news of a new Les Paul Standard Axcess guitar Lifeson crafted alongside luthiers at Epiphone in Nashville.
You can hear snippets of the tracks in the video below, before heading to Lifeson's website to hear both in their entirety. Both songs feature bass guitar from Coney Hatch vocalist/bassist Andy Curran, while "Spy House" features drums from David Quinton Steinberg.
Lifeson made his solo debut with 1996's Victor, an album that featured work with I Mother Earth's Edwin, Les Claypool, Dalbello and more. In recent years, he has appeared on albums by Fu Manchu, John Mayall and Marco Minnemann.
Earlier this year, Lifeson shared that he was "eager" to write new music with Rush bandmate and friend Geddy Lee.
