As the old adage goes: if you can't take the heat, redecorate the kitchen. Instead of being a helpless Sim trapped in a door-less room with an oven fire, rapper Rick Ross has decided to rebrand his forthcoming record Richer Than I've Ever Been with new album artwork.
When Ross revealed the cover of his 11th studio album last month, the internet did nothing short of roasting him into oblivion.
And it wasn't necessarily unwarranted: the artist appeared on the original cover in some sort of cloak with an ornate broach on one side, hiding his face behind a pair of white gloves and a massive pinky ring. A powder pink hat completed the extravagant ensemble, which went on to make people question if he's set to succeed Queen Elizabeth, join the Golden Girls or show up on the next season of Bridgerton.
Apparently, Ross took the jokes to heart, because collaborator Meek Mill posted some alternate artwork for the album on Instagram yesterday (December 7) ahead of its anticipated release this Friday, December 10.
It's a different look, to say the least: the follow-up to 2019's Port of Miami 2 now features a profile shot of Ross against an emerald green backdrop, looking downward behind a pair of shades with blue lenses. His dollar sign-laden logo is also featured, alongside the album title — both in gold, naturally.
Well, whatever makes him feel the richest. (Perhaps a Jeff Bezos cosplay is in order?)
