Ahead of delivering new album Eve, Rapsody has enlisted D'Angelo and GZA for a new single.
First single "Ibtihaj" is named after Ibtihaj Muhammad, a fencer who became the first Muslim American woman to wear a hijab while competing for the United States in 2016 Summer Olympics.
Produced by 9th Wonder, the song interpolates the beat from GZA's "Liquid Swords," and features a layered choir of D'Angelos singing that song's hook to open things up. You can take in "Ibtihaj" below.
Eve has yet to receive a concrete release date, but is expected to arrive this month. It's set to follow Rapsody's 2017 LP Laila's Wisdom.
