Thom Yorke's prolific output doesn't show any signs of stopping: in addition to holding a worldwide vinyl lottery with side-project the Smile, the Radiohead bandleader has shared a new solo track "5.17."

The song was written for the British TV series Peaky Blinders, a gangster drama that's now in its sixth and final season. Director Anthony Byrne revealed that Yorke and Jonny Greenwood were contributing original music to the concluding instalment last month, telling NME that he was "over the moon" about it: "The music has always been really important historically and I was really keen to bring a dramatic score into it."

Following his most recent solo album, 2019's ANIMA, Yorke's haunting dirge "5.17" is set to be used in the show alongside another track called "That's How Horses Are" — the other half of the double-single due April 2, as per an Apple Music listing (via Pitchfork).

Last year, Radiohead released their expanded reissue of Kid A and Amnesiac, KID A MNESIA.
