Necro is back to make your girl want to vomit on his sixth studio effort, entitled Die!, which is the perfect party record, if that party was full of people who enjoyed death, violence, sex, misogyny and drugs. The younger brother of Non Phxion member Ill Bill, Necro has been slowly building steam in the underground since the late '90s, crafting his own particular brand of despicable "death-rap," which owes as much to death metal as hardcore rap. Entirely self-produced (Necro also supplied Raekwon with the "Gihad" beat for his recent OB4CL2) and devoid of guest spots, Die! Isn't for the faint of heart. Sonic assaults like "asBESTos" have Necro whispering sweet nothings ("Cut open your grill/peel/slice/motherfucker I'm gonna carve you real nice") over haunted house organs, while on the self-titled track Necro gives the drummer some and rides a funky beat while spitting bile all over the mic. They say there's a fine line between brilliance and insanity. Necro lives there.
